The main theme of colours presented on the front of 'play music' is deep red, white and black. These are used to present indie- like image. The main image is of four boys from a band, which will attract the male audience. The fonts used on the cover are varied to add effect and are quite quirky. The magazine features different bands such as; Razor light, Panic at the disco and my chemical romance. The bands featured suggests the magazine is featured for male teenagers to about in the twenties.
